The writing is superb and is almost able to hide the absence of any and all logic and common sense throughout the plot as well as character decisions.

There is an incredible amount of stupidity as well as plain contradiction going on in plot construction and the sheer endless pile of absurd plot devices.
The same is the case for the world-building.
Not to mention the staggering number of plot conveniences.

Still, an incredible intuitive writing talent in terms of human-seeming characters and especially emotions.… (plus d'informations)

This book made me feel like I was right there in New Orleans with Adele. I love when I read a book and can actually feel like I am living in it, and that is exactly what this book did for me.

The Author went to great lengths with her research, the writing was phenomenal, and the editing was perfect.
It would be very hard to go back to a place that was once your home and try to start all over from the ground up, but that is exactly what Adele and her father do. Adele finds out she has more ties to New Orleans then she could have not even imagined, when she comes across a journal from one of her ancestors.

I could not put this book down once I got started on it; I had to know what was going to happen next, so hang on folks because this is such a wonderful journey you will be happy you took! I recommend this book to anyone who loves to live virtually through a book.

Reading Addiction Virtual Book Tours offered a copy of this book to me for my honest and un-biased opinion.

I'm not sure if I liked this or not. Some of the artwork was lovely, Zantana and her boyfriend had a little chemistry, and I liked Zatanna's family.

But oh, did the names Zatara and Zantana confuse me. And Zantana's friends were so boring. You could've cut them out and had nothing change. Same with the villain Allura seemed cartoony. The mystery between Erza and Giovanni is much more compelling than whatever she was on lol.

This is a new book in the DC universe for younger readers, in this case YA. Zatanna comes from a magical family. Her father is a world-renowned illusionist and her mother his sidekick. Her family has always wanted her to go into the family business, but she has absolutely no desire. One of her best friends however would love to take her place. It’s the summer before senior year and it’s meant to be spent at Coney Island, on the beach, and with her friends. But it’ll be dangerous, dark, and a bit magical, when Zatanna learns she’s not who she always thought she was. This was an interesting story and I wonder if it is a new character or a preexisting one? Either way I thoroughly enjoyed it. The art is fantastic, the color amazing, and overall, a joy to read. I need volume to right now.… (plus d'informations)
