I normally don’t read many nonfiction books but this one is an exception. Casey Stengel was a tough solid ball player but it was as a manager that he
truly excelled. It was with the NewYork Yankees and their 5 consecutive World Series cha, pionships that put him e record books as well as enshrinement into baseballs hall of fame in Cooperstown. The main idea of this book is to always try something before you say you don't like it. One thing I like about this book is the big brother taking a leap of faith to try and help his sister get in the water. I also like the page when she gets in the water and "floated, flipped and dunked" because it has a picture of her doing each thing also with the words.

This can be helpful for a student just starting to read who needs visual cues. I also like the theme in this story. D.W overcomes her fear of the water and swimming. This would be great for a little kid who's never been to the beach and may have the same fears as the character. At the end she overcomes her fear. Overall the moral of the story is to step out of your boundaries sometimes.… (plus d'informations)
