Allan Amato and Jonathan Marks Barravecchia’s Punch tells the story of a priest who finds himself lost in the desert, eventually making his way to the remains of Hell where he confronts the embodiments of the Seven Deadly Sins. The priest knows he is hell-bound as he previously broke his vows of celibacy and later murdered a man. Amato and Barravecchia brilliantly tell a trippy story that relies on cyclical narration and visuals evocative of the sense of events rather than literally portraying them. Barravecchia’s art in particular stands out, recalling the style of Bill Sienkiewicz or David Mack (both of whom contributed art to this final volume). A dark, trippy story for those who enjoy more experimental comic book work that pushes the envelope of comic storytelling.… (plus d'informations)
