It was so fun to dive back into this world, with characters we got to know in book one. Of course, nothing is ever easy for Jelani and Astan, and the challenges they face in this book will keep you turning pages for hours. It was wonderful to get to explore more of the magical side of the world, and to see how much Jelani has grown since the journey started in book one. No one said being queen would be easy, and it's easy to relate to how she struggles to deal with the challenges of ruling over a people she grew up knowing nothing about. (Culture clash, anyone?) Overall, a great fantasy read, but I would start with book one if you want to fully embrace the story.… (plus d'informations)

This was an interesting twist. Jelani is about as far from Cinderella as you can get, despite finding and trying on a glass slipper. (I mean, who wouldn't hope their prince charming would pop out after having such bad luck in their love life?) Instead of finding her prince, Jelani finds her world turned upside down. Elves are real, and Jelani is an integral part of the plans of the various factions. A unique, fascinating story where the elves aren't perfect and otherworldly, but have just as many devious machinations as you'd expect in a human court. A fairy tale with a twist that's sure to capture your imagination.… (plus d'informations)
