I enjoyed reading this book, the second in the Aliomenti saga. It was nice to read about Elizabeth/Hope's origin. Another quick but fun read.

I enjoyed this novel and how the author chose to portray the characters. The story is not linear, which I like, and kept me entertained.

Saga of a man sent back in time to save his future wife and how he works to use his "energy" to change people and their abilities, thus influencing history. Since this is the first 3 books in an 8-book series, the story doesn't end. The author often repeats things, making the reading somewhat tedious.

While the plot moved along as expected, I felt the author tried too hard to make this book self-explanatory, bringing up all of the issues from the first three books much too often. When writing a series where a book is clearly labeled #4, one should be able to expect some familiarity with the plot conditions on the part of the reader who was dedicated enough to keep slogging through. The book could have moved much faster and been more enjoyable.
