When I started studying A&P everything was, for the most part, pretty new to me. I didn’t know my femur from my humerus, or my metacarpals from my metatarsals. I was surprised and fascinated that we have “true” ribs, “false” ribs and “floating” ribs. Or a bone that “floats” …. Or, well, you get the picture. That’s what this book did - it helped me get the picture. The fill-in-the-blank illustrations with the answer key on the bottom of the page was the key reason I chose this book (I also like the cover illustration of the skeleton of the hand coloring the skeleton of the hand), since I was expected to be able to label all these body parts on the tests. If I had one complaint, and it’s a small one, it is that the illustrations are so detailed that it’s easy for a newbie like me to get a little confused – which is why I splurged on colored pencils with erasers on them.
