Sara Laux Akin

This book is about a girl, Sofia, whose family owns an Italian restaurant. One day when Sofia's nonna and nonno were coming, she tries to help out in the kitchen but ends up making a mess, and no one wants her help. Sofia is upset, and goes to her swing where she comes up with a great recipe of her own to make. I would read this to a 3rd grade class (8 years old). I found this book at the Pierce College library in the ECE section.
