Seeing as this book was published right on the brink of the Pokemon cash-grab, it would have been so easy for this book to dissolve into copy-and-paste vector art with little to no imagination. Not so. Each scene, while initially unappealing to the eye (it's very disconcerting to shove a hundred differently colored Pokemon into a relatively small area), has a lot of tiny things going on. Mahop is bowling. Chansey is looking for its eggs. Brock is trying to pick up a date. It's all very creative and, honestly, makes examining the scenes much more entertaining than "finding pokemon".… (plus d'informations)

This is actually a pretty cool book that combines Pokemon with the the joy of locating tiny figures in a complex and crowded background. What makes this book different from others in it's genre is that author asks riddles which need to be solved. That, and there's some sort of story at the end which the kids and I just couldn't make heads or tales of. (We're not Pokemon fanatics, so maybe it'll make sense to those who are.)

I like that they suggest doing these activities with others. Besides that there were some elements -- besides the hunting for characters-- that we didn't grasp. Still, overall it was fun.
