Christopher Adair-Toteff, PhD in philosophy from the University of South Florida, is a social theorist who has published widely on Ernst Troeltsch, Max Weber and other classical German sociologists. He is the author of Max Weber's Sociology of Religion (2016), Fundamental Concepts in Max Weber's afficher plus Sociology of Religion (2015) and Sociological Beginnings (2005), and editor of The Anthem Companion to Ferdinand Tönnies (2016). He is co-editor with Stephen Turner of a forthcoming book on Edward Shils and is finishing a book on Raymond Aron's political theories.
