We Are the Beatles is a fun, little picture book all about the famous British band.

I think this is a great, little read with goofy pictures to introduce young readers to the Beatles. It is definitely not the be all, end all of biographies, but it's a great start! It's colourful (which seems fitting, if you've seen some of their music videos and covers), and has a small introduction to the entire band.

This is an excellent, picture book resource for some information about The Beatles.

Three out of five stars.

Thank you to NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group for providing me a free copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

If you're seeking a non-fiction, picture book read then this book is it! Especially if you love music, and Motown music at that! We Are the Supremes by Zoe Tucker is a delightful read all about the famous Motown band.

Mary and Florence decide to start a girl group, and my gosh did they ever. Diana joins them and makes for one incredible singing group. They will rock the charts! Their history is shown throughout this book, which will go nicely if you blast a few tunes off your favourite music streaming service. This is a great way to introduce music history to the young generations. Or, if you're an adult that just likes dipping into picture books, this one will fit too!

The illustrations are simple and classic and the story is marvellous. This is a great little read and I highly recommend it! Why didn't I have more books like this when I was younger?

Four out of five stars.

Asked by the animals of the forest to help them to defeat the greedy who were destroying forests and ruining the air. She pondered the problem and started to make her ideas known. Soon others who agreed that the problems could be made known without violence joined her. And together they proved that "No one is too small to make a difference."
It's a good reminder to keep up the good work that Greta started.
The illustrations by Zoe Persico are fun, tinged with a bit of whimsey, colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your public library!
I requested and received a free temporary e-book on Adobe Digital Editions from Quarto Publishing Group – Frances Lincoln Children's Books via NetGalley. Thank you! I bought one for granddaughter, too.

This was a short and cute read designed for little kids, probably to be read to them by an adult who hopes they will take an interest in math, science, history, biography, computers, or all of the above.

An adult who knows the Ada Lovelace story well might notice that it rather overstates and oversimplifies the case when it says that she "changed the world" with her mathematical footnotes. It would be more accurate to say that she imagined the change that might someday be possible. Still, kudos for introducing kids to a less well-known historical figure, especially a 19th century woman with some complicated emotional baggage but a first-class brain.

Thanks to NorthSouth Books and NetGalley for the advance review copy.
