Susan says: This is a quirky book about three friends who all want to go to prom. Well actually, they used to be best friends, but have drifted apart in high school. And only one of them, Laura, wants everyone else to go to prom. And as you should expect in a book like this, everyone else has a great time, and Laura ends up not having the experience she had planned for. There is a really disturbing sex scene in this book - disturbing because of the lack of emotion behind it - involving Laura and her long-term boyfriend, who ends up cheating on her in the end of the book. But there are some quirky characters, and everyone in the book seems to be having fun and being themselves. I am also interested in the fact that a man wrote this book, but it has three female main characters who are fairly well-drawn and much like girls anywhere. This was pretty easy to read, fun and interesting. ( ) The three "T"s are rediscovering their lapsed friendship as they plan to make prom the best night of their high school experience. Exploring friendships as they come and go, Nelson creates a wonderful trifecta of teen age girls, each with a quirky personality. Some of Chloe's insights seem advanced an mature for a high school junior, but readers can understand how an outcast poet might develop such opinions. Boyfriends are kept secondary, but they still add personality to the text. This is an excellent read for teens who want more Meg Cabot or Brian Sloan. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
