Actuellement, il n'y a pas de discussions au sujet de ce livre. ![]() Not quite as good as they other nine I've read and this will probably be my last. Deaver weaves a compelling story, but the contrivances and the out-of-chatacter oversights made by Rhyme, combined with the author's own prejudices and beliefs layered into the narration left me wanting to get this one finished and out of sight. In this go around, Rhyme, Sachs, and company are trying to catch a killer who uses electricity as the murder weapon. Is it some kind of eco terrorism or green mafia? And why electricity? What's the connection with Earth Day? All those questions, and more are tracked down by the team as they go on a city wide hunt to stop any more people from getting fried. A good read, though a bit too heavy on the science of electricity for me. I've read nine of these so far, and plan on continuing, so 'nuff said! Another one from the Lincoln Rhyme series. Again a very good read, more so even than the previous one I read. More tension (maybe that was influenced by the electricity that was omnipresent in this book😉). Interesting to think about the 'what if' this book put in my mind. A surprising ending, I never thought in that direction. An interesting way to combine two books that apparently go in different directions at first. Looking forward to another one from the series! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Distinctions
Quadriplegic forensic criminologist Lincoln Rhyme leads his team--NYPD detective Amelia Sachs, officer Ron Pulaski, and FBI agent Fred Dellray--to find and stop a killer who uses electricity as modus operandi. Meanwhile, Rhyme is consulting on another high-profile investigation in Mexico with a most coveted quarry in his crosshairs: the hired killer known as the Watchmaker, one of the few criminals to have eluded Rhyme's net.
