*SPOILERS* Inspired by her rock idol Ruby X, 17-year-old Molly Montgomery starts up a band with her girlfriends called the Hormones. After their first gig, the attractive but maddening Dean convinces Molly and her bandmates that the group needs him on guitar and Tom on drums. Dean gets them a gig opening for a local band that starts the Hormones down the rocky road to fame. Molly and Dean try to hide their charged relationship from the band. Jane develops substance abuse problems. Molly butts heads with her shifty, slick manager. The parties, touring, media pressures and group in-fighting finally break Molly and she dramatically quits the group in the last show of a U.S. tour that was to be their breakout in the business.

This book was about three unpopular girls who start a band. It was good because every girl has a dream of being a rock star and Molly finds out how hard it is.

It was kinda weird. I thought it would be better but it was pretty..well NASTY. I thought it would be ok to read..it wasn't.

It was o.k, but it ended pretty weird. It's like your waiting for the ending, but it just finishes without a good enough one. L.

this book grabbed my attention at the beginning of the book but the end of it fustrated me and i was angry. The ending was not at all spectacular. It was still a pretty good book though.

I thought this book was really good. At first you might think you could predict everything that's exactly going to happen, but the story actually has a twist that leaves you a little surprise. Yes, I do recommend this book to girls at least thirteen and older.

I believe you should be honest with your review but there are nice ways to say things, like it just wasn't for me. Truthfully though, I have a hard time posting a negative review. ( )

Molly and her friends start a band, get signed to a record label, and along the way to stardom Molly falls in love, has sex, gets her hearbroken and realizes she's lost who she is. ( )

Author certainly captured the voice of a guitar girl. I particularly liked the debate on the significance of Hello Kitty ( )
