A little melodramatic. ( ) I wasn't sure if I was going to like the move away from the wolves, but I wanted to read Jack's story so I went forward. I'm glad I did. I really enjoyed the opening of a new world of cat shifters and witches. I was left feeling somewhat dissatisfied at the way Galen and Jack talked over or ignored Renee. She often accused them of treating her like a child, and I definitely felt that. Unfortunately I didn't feel like they'd stopped by the end of the novel. Still, I enjoyed watching them come together. They had major chemistry, both in bed and out of it. The fact that they learned to lean on one another and take care of one another was wonderful, especially since Renee and Galen had a long established relationship and Jack was new to it. The way Grace acted toward Renee really bothered me, especially considering the way she was treated by Nina in her book. I expected better of her and found I had less respect for her at the end. To hit Renee where it so clearly hurt the most..that was petty and cruel. I don't think she made up for it in the end, either. That aside, this was a good read. I breezed through it and couldn't wait to start the next. I love this book! This is the beginning (or cross over) from her wolf series to her de La Vega cat series. I think what makes Dane's books unique is that with her menage series the male/male love interests seem so real and less "porn" that you might get by other authors. She makes the point of the relationship the love and devotion of all of the heroine/heroes. I have always loved Jack and was waiting expectantly for his book. You will not be disappointed. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Previously published; newly refreshed by author. Fall in love with the de La Vega cat shifters in this classic paranormal romance from New York Times bestselling author Lauren Dane, a spinoff of the fan-favorite Cascadia Wolves series. Renee Parcell's magic has always been just under the surface-ready to be called, if only she'd acknowledge it. But she's more than happy without adding magic to the mix. With a fulfilling job and a cat shifter mate, Galen, who loves her fiercely and treats her well, she has everything she needs without living as a witch. Until Jack Meyers, enforcer of the national wolf pack, walks into her life and changes everything. Handsome, charming and honest, Jack has a connection with Renee that is so strong, it can only be a mate bond. What could be disaster turns to hope when they discover that their connection is made more powerful-and more intense-by Galen's presence. Cat, wolf, witch. With Jack and Galen, Renee has the chance to be happier than she'd ever dreamed. But with an enemy surfacing to threaten her safety, their new life together may be short-lived... This book is approximately 82,000 words. This title is part of the Carina Press Romance Promise: all the romance you're looking for with an HEA/HFN. It's a promise!.
