it is april fools day and gilbert is not very good at april fools. his friend lewis keeps playing tricks on him so gilbert says he's going to play one on him. lewis waits for the trick and starts to get nervous and act silly waiting for it. eventually lewis can't take it anymore and demands that gilbert play his trick, but he already did by making lewis worry too much.

This is a book about a boy named Gilbert who wanted to play some tricks on his friends at school on April Fools Day. What he didn't realized was that his friends had already planned to trick him also. As the day ended Gilbert was finally able to play a trick on one of his friends, but it wasn't really a trick at all he was just being nice to him, but the friend was so worried about a trick he didn't even realize what was happening.

I think this book has a very good story line, and it also has a very good ending.

You could talk to your kids about what April Fools Day is about. But you should also point out that it is not nice to play tricks on people. ( )
