I think this is the first time I read a book with two vampires together. It was a little weird a the beginning because it's in 1st PoV and we don't really know who we are or what we are... Also the vampires in the story are more than a little original and uncommon, such that they act and age like humans but refuse to have sex without a condom *scratch head* What kind of vampires gets out a condom everytime he has sex? It's not like they can die of diseases or anything. That was really baffling, the huge deal that was taken in making sure we knew they were properly using condoms.... It almost felt like they were "living" vampires actually scared of dying. There was one scene in particular though that was absolutely hilarious as hell that truthfully saved the book for me; The two of them break a table during a bout of quite energetic sex so naturally a replacement is needed. The best way Ethan found to test the "stability" was to sit Jamie down on it, bend him over, get between his legs and shake the table, all in front of a very horrified salesman! I might be easily amused but this was a priceless moment and thanks to it I was able to continue reading the story with a silly smile on my face rather than a frown. Amusement aside, I liked the couple, they had violent chemistry from the typical hate/love pattern and it was entertaining. They made this supposedly big revelation at the end but really, it was obvious for us readers to see from the start. It's a little funny how we are in Jamie's head during all the book yet we can see through Ethan plain as day. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Can Jamie and Ethan overcome their hatred for each other before the vampire marriage they are cursed into kills them both? Jamie McHale has always hated vampire prince Ethan Connor, and Ethan loathes him right back. One dark and stormy night the two men tangle in a violent altercation that leaves them somehow bound together in vampire marriage. It becomes very clear that the magic of the marriage bond will get what it wants for them, regardless of the men's feelings toward the situation. The curse wants them together, and as they spend time with each other they start to wonder if this really was a curse at all. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Loved the story, but it was way too short to be enjoyed thoroughly. Another book I wish the author would expand, edit and re-publish. As it is *sigh* 2.25 at best. ( )
