When CIA agent Janessa Rogers meets the royal family of Meridia on assignment, she expects to use her skills in linguistics and security detail to protect and serve, but she doesn't expect to find herself engaged to Prince Garrett Fortier, Meridia's most eligible bachelor, as part of the security plan. And she certainly doesn't expect to fall in love with him.

Janessa resists her feelings, fearing conflicts in her personal and professional life, yet when the Prince admits his feigned affection has become genuine she can no longer pretend. Matters of security, society, and spirituality make their unlikely romance even more complex, and escalating political intrigue gives Janessa an excuse to ignore the questions in her heart. But when a terrorist plot against the royal family endangers them both, Janessa and Garrett must face the challenges of loyalty to family, to country, to Godâ??and to love.… (plus d'informations)

Although I could never pull off a job like a CIA agent or a spy, this series makes me wish I could. Janessa is the coolest person and I think she would be that friend you love to talk to because she is smart, observant, and kind. Plus, she's a CIA agent, which is SO COOL. The story layout sets up the relationship between Janessa and Garrett in a realistic way and, although it progresses fast, it is adorable.

This is a great book for younger audiences (I think I first read it in Junior High) because it is fast-paced, exciting, and romantic. Best of all, this is written by a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints so it is clean from profanity and explicit content. Therefore, it is a really good read for a Sunday morning. I also love the other books in the series. This is the kind of book I keep hoping to find at a thrift store so I can own my own copy. ( )

CIA agent Janessa Rogers is assigned to go undercover to protect the royal family in the fictional country of Meridia. She meets Prince Garrett and the assignment has them becoming engaged. Janessa is Morman, which causes some conflict with her superiors. All the characters are very likable and the mystery element was interesting. As this is an LDS romance the sexual chemistry is nonexistent. This author appears to be quite popular with readers who are eager for clean romances with a mystery theme. It would also be appropriate for young teen readers who want a little romance in their lives. ( )

CIA agent Janessa Rogers is assigned to help protect the Royal Family of Meridia, but she doesn't expect to be "engaged" to the Royal Prince as part of the deal. When their feigned romance blossoms into the real thing, they confront their loyalties to family, country, religion and love. ( )

Janessa works for the CIA, and she's LDS. She meets Prince Garrett while on assignment. His country, a fictional European place called Meridia, needs more security and after the American embassy is bombed, they call in the CIA and Janessa heads to Meridia. Her undercover assignment is to pretend to be engaged to Garrett, while figuring out who's responsible for the bombing. But she soon finds herself with real feelings for him.

This is like a fairy tale romance for LDS. It's not even remotely believable, but I'm guessing that's why it's popular. Who doesn't want to find a handsome prince, one who just happens to be LDS, and live happily ever after in their fabulous castle by the sea? Sounds great, right? Oh, and she's gorgeous and smart too. It's like brain candy. It's fine once and a while, but too much will be just to sweet to swallow.

I may be a little harsh here. It's not like I hated the book. It was fun, and I'm glad I finished it. But I don't know that I'll read any more by this author. ( )
