Un día de verano Sylvette conoce a Picasso y se convierte en su musa y realiza más de cuarenta obras de la joven. Años después ella se convertiría en una artista conocida siguiendo los consejos de Picasso. ( ) This book is very well written in my opinion. It may appeal more to grades 5 or 6 due to the length and depth of it. It is a creative story that educates the readers on a well-known artist and his inspiration. The girl in this book is very shy in the beginning and feels awkward about the artist drawing and painting her. Ultimately she comes out of her shell and becomes an artist herself. The main message in this story is to always be yourself and to not settle for less than you know you deserve. I would definitely read this book in my future classroom if the students are old enough for it. In my opinion, this was an excellent book based on a famous artist. Picasso's paintings and drawings each have their own story behind them. The details inside completely follow the plot line behind the title. The story is all about the artist and the girl with the ponytail that he has model for him. The illustrations line up with the text in it describing what is occurring throughout. I learned more information about Picasso than I ever knew. The big idea is to chase your dreams. Once Slyvette opened up and showed Picasso her sketchbook, it all flowed out from there. She sold a picture signed by Picasso that he created of her and she made a lot of money, just like he did in his younger years. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
