The book does this all in a very child like way so that the readers will be able to understand how to take care of a guinea pig.

I love the way this book combines narrative and expository writing to deliver information about guinea pigs in a funny and engaging way. Students have fun reading this book on their own or with a friend. I use this book in my expository writing instruction to show students that expository writing isn't always "boring". ( )
