You are about to read Dr. Robert G. Lee's greatest sermon - in my opinion. I know this is a broad statement for he is noted for his great sermons. Many of us believe him to be the greatest orator of our day, and one of the greatest sermonizers of all time. His messages have the depth of a Spurgeon, the eloquence of a Demosthenes, the wisdom of a Solomon, and the inspiration of a Longfellow.Dr. Lee has inspired me with his sermons many times. Along with thousands of others who have heard him at great conventions, his masterful messages have lifted me into the heavenlies. But never has anything he has written or spoken so stirred me as this message on "The Place Called Heaven." I shall never, never forget the first time I read it.I was conducting a revival in Aiken County, South Carolina. He had come to deliver his famous "Pay Day - Some Day" sermon. Some 4,500 people had been blessed by the message. Although I had heard it several times I was on "shouting ground" When we returned to our rooms that night, Dr. Lee gave me this message on Heaven to "look over."I did not put it down until I had completed it. Many times I had to stop reading to wipe away the tears. I was so stirred until I hardly slept that night. I was ready to leave the great revival and go at once to heaven.Dr. Lee is to bring the message at my funeral, if I precede him in death. I want him to use the substance of this book. In all sincerity I expect the mourners (if there be any) to forget my funeral and want to shout as they see heaven painted as no mortal man ever pictured it. I expect sinners to forsake their sordid sins and seek that city whose builder and maker is God.This book will remove the fear of death from the saved, comfort those bereft of loved ones and bring sinners to repentance. - Evangelist E. J. Daniels… (plus d'informations)
