I reread One and Only Ivan to compare. I was startled by the differences in zoos from the time of Green Knowe to the more modern Ivan where the zoo was a goal of a great place to live. I read this with my book group and we mostly enjoyed it. It was fun to learn about Lucy Boston and her inspiration for the book. ( ) Ping is a Chinese boy who had his parents killed. In green knowe, he happened to meet a poor gorilla, Hanno . Hanno also had parents killed and escaped from zoo. But people were trying capture or kill Hanno ... This book was not hard to read. And it was worth reading. I was moved by Ping who has a hot heart though he has a sad past. I learned from this book that human and animal can relate each other well. This book is human interest. There is a female gorilla and male child gorilla. They wear separated from there group and hunted by some one, then he took to zoo. In the zoo, the gorilla met a boy who is alone too. Then, the gorilla escaped from zoo, and met agein the boy in green knowe which is the boy take his vacation. This book impresed me. I think, the sean that they met agein and the boy take care the gorilla is very good. I reary like this story. One day, a little Chinese boy, Ping, met a big black gorilla named Hanno. Hanno was from African Congo in a zoo in London. When Hanno escaped from the zoo, and Ping felt that it's a good news. Because he thought they are in the same situation. At first,I thought it would be a happy story ,but it was unhappy and sad story. The story told me that animals have human feelings and human could be good friend with animals.I aucune critique | ajouter une critique
