I remember having to read this book when I was younger when my younger sister and I would not get along. I was the type of sister that lacked patience and sometimes I still do. So, rereading this book definitely put things into perspective. I would recommend reading this to younger elementary grades and having first or even second graders read it independently. This book is about Arthur and DW. There is never a time when these two are not arguing. Although, this time is a bit different. Arthur loses his patience with her and her silly ideas. The resolution is great and must be read to find out. I would use this book in my class when my students start to argue with one another or just cannot seem to get along that day. I could tell the students that even though we might not agree on everything that our peers say we still must keep our patience and show respect because that is what everyone should be doing. We could be the class that leads by example and does not follow the pressure of others. Overall, I really enjoy this book because it is something that all students can relate to, especially if they have younger brother or sisters. ( )
