I really enjoy Suzanne Harper's style of writing! Her characters are always quirky and a lot of fun to read. Sparrow Delaney, who lives in Lily Dale, NY, a well-known psychic community, is a liar. The seventh daughter of a seventh daughter, she's supposed to have great psychic talent--and she does, but no one knows it. No one except Sparrow (and yes, her other six sisters are all named after birds too) and her three spirit guides. When a school district rezoning gives Sparrow an opportunity to attend another high school--one where no one knows her six more than slightly offbeat older sisters, or her mother or grandmother, or the fact that all eight of them exercise some form of psychic talent--Sparrow jumps at the opportunity. Finally, her chance to be normal! Or is it? When a ghost shows up in her very first class of the year and asks for her help, she begins to have her doubts. A quick, but satisfying read--perfect to squeeze in at the end of the summer! ( )

Very cute novel that actually ends... almost everything YA has sequels nowadays! I'm glad this one has a reolution, though I do feel like the ending was a little forced, everything sped up like the author was ready to finish up already, but otherwise, it was really good. ( )

Her whole family has the gift for talking to spirits. The legend of the seventh daughter f a seventh daughter is the only thing that is keeping her from showing her relatives and the rest of the world that she is the best, and that she can help her best friend through some hard times. ( )

I liked this book, but i didn't love it. It was a really cute story and i loved the ending though ( )

Good, but the ending was too quick and I would've like to know more about what happened to Sparrow after she came out. ( )
