Fantasy This was another fun read while I am trying to steer clear of heavy material. I decided to read the second book that I owned out of the Disney Fairies series, which is this book. It was rather interesting to read this book because it was weird to see such an emphasis for the majority of a children's book on a characters bad luck. She honestly believes through the majority of the book that she has bad luck. I don't want to spoil where she believes she got the bad luck from because that is part of the joy of the book, but it was weird to me that they focused so heavily on this aspect in this book. I get that these books always have some "moral" to teach at the end of them, but this one felt a bit weak. I still loved the book though because it was light-hearted and geared towards a children's mindset. I definitely am considering getting the others in this series so that I have some more light-hearted stories to read during the hard-hitting reads that I have on my plate. The water talent fairy Silvermist thinks she is cursed by the white lady bug she finds in a game. Vidia is happy to keep spreading the rumor that she is cursed for good. Silvermist tries to show her good side and keep a stiff upper lip. This is book is a lesson of perpective. If you put your mind on the bad, then bad happens. Or if you put your mind on the good, then good happens. What happens to Silvermist and others around her doesn't matter if it is good or bad. It just the fact it could happen to anyone. I thought this story was only okay. Vidia was very annoying in this book. I know she is the mean fairy but boy can she be mean. I am not sure the character Silvermist was as detailed as other fairies have been in other books. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
