The Igniting Worship Series consists of resources designed to assist pastors and worship leaders in building effective worship experiences. This volume contains seven unique and complete acts of worship appropriate for use during the Lenten season. These services make use of many different worship elements and media forms to engage the congregation through the retelling of the sacred story. Service themes include Greatness in Humility, Overcoming Temptations, Making Friends, Prayer that Does What Prayer is Supposed to Do, Experiencing Miracles, Going through Suffering, and Seeing for Yourself. Each of the services is a contemporary sequence with a scripture, theme, and service image as well as suggestions for the prelude, music, welcome, teaching, giving, faith story, and benediction. Each service contains traditional worship music options for choir anthems and hymns. Some also include short dramas. In addition to the services, this volume provides a glimpse into the worship planning process at Wooddale Church in Eden Prairie, MN that can help worship leaders renew their creative processes for worship. His radio program "Faith Matters" is broadcast on over 100 radio stations across the United States. He has served as senior pastor of Wooddale Church since 1977. Dan Collison was named by The Church Report as one of the 50 most influential worship leaders in the USA.  He has earned degrees from the Interlochen Arts Academy, the Eastman School of Music and Bethel Seminary (MDiv). He is the Celebration Arts Pastor at Wooddale Church and has served on staff since 1998. Wooddale Church, a multiple denomination affiliated church in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, is a teaching church with ministries that serve over 4,500 people in worship attendance each week.
