Professor Kreiger's translation of Sierpinski's earlier work on point-set topology was speedily recognized as the outstanding work on the subject in English. The present volume is not just a revision of the previous one but a translation of an entirely new book which differs vastly in arrangement, outlook, and presentation; one of its most notable features is the addition of a large number of worked and unworked examples.
