The author, the first blind person to graduate from a U.S medical school, was diagnosed with glaucoma and lost his sight at age 8. He attended a school for the blind and later transferred to a public high school in his hometown of Havertown, Pa., before enrolling at Gettysburg College in 1968. Getting into medical school was another matter; seven schools rejected him upon learning that he was blind. But he finally was accepted at Temple University and graduated. This is the story of his journey. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
