Some children might find it a bit overwhelming, but I love the attention to detail. This book actually is just a favorite family book and I had to include it in any counting library. It was a good excuse to read it again! It introduces not only numbers 1-100, but addition and addition strategies as well. Every kindergarten should have a copy. ( ) Fiction, Concept; I really liked this book, I think it was done well. In addition to counting to 100, it shows different combinations of how to get to each number. For example, page four has a picture of four bunnies each wearing a sweater with the numbers one, two, three, or four on them. On the same page there are four buses, each numbered, and each with four bunnies inside. So, when reading this page, the child will be able to count to four several times. There is also a description that describes each picture. For instance, looking at page four, it says "four mouse buses go down the street. Two are yellow and two are red." So the reader can also make a connection that two plus two equals four. This is an informational text that allows readers to count to 100 and it sets the reader up to make self-to-text and text-to-world connections. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
