With an easy to read yet creative and artful prose style, Parker will draw your into Raeve and Kaan's start crossed story. There are so many great mythic highlights to this story along with a romance that is so reminiscent if the great lovers of history and literature which make this new and highly original tale feel like returning home. But do not dismiss Parker's world building and engaging narrative. This is a wonderful start to a new series that I look forward to reading more of. Thank you The Nerd Fam for the gifted ARC. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

THE OVERNIGHT VIRAL SENSATION AND NATIONAL BESTSELLER "A wild ride that thrills as much as it enchants . . . This remarkable book is an instant classic." The Creators did not expect their beloved dragons to sail skyward upon their end. To curl into balls just beyond gravity's grip, littering the sky with tombstones. With moons. They certainly did not expect them to FALL. As an assassin for the rebellion group Fur du Ath, Raeve's job is to complete orders and never get caught. When a rival bounty hunter turns her world upside down, blood spills, hearts break, and Raeve finds herself imprisoned by the Guild of Noblesa group of powerful fae who turn her into a political statement. Crushed by the loss of his great love, Kaan Vaegor took the head of a king and donned his melted crown. "When The Moon Hatched breathes new, beautiful life into the genre, as Sarah A. Parker weaves lyrical prose with undeniable chemistry. I laughed, I cried, I got everything out of this. It's an absolutely stunning fantasy world that everyone should sink their teeth into." There was so much promise in the beginning - cool dragons, interesting main character, fascinating world etc - but then you get shitty romance tropes, generous use of the word cock, no chemistry, main character becomes annoying, too many POVS, nothing happens then a small reveal at the end plus so much more crappiness.
And over 700 pages - wtf bro why?!?!
I was so disappointed at the end of it - those moon dragons deserve to be in a better book. 2 stars is solely for the potential this had but did not live up to. ( )
