This is the first book from this author that i have read, and the author did a great job of connecting the characters and the previous story lines together, so i was able to follow with ease, as a new reader.
Theres plenty of supernatural action in this novel as well as archaeological elements, which brought the past and the present together in an enthralling fight against evil.
The characters, particularly Alexander Storm, are well-crafted. There were plenty of plot twists that I didn’t see coming and that added to the book’s mystique and the cliffhanger ending left me feeling eager for more, and anticipating the next installment in the series. It has been a while since I enjoyed a book this much.
It’s a well-written supernatural thriller with perfect pacing. I would definitely recommend this novel to fans of Supernatural thrillers. ( )

Theres a good blend of the supernatural, archaeology and mythology elements that created more to the journey. The third-person all-seeing narrative style, effectively built up suspense and kept me totally engaged with the fate of the characters, which I loved! especially the relationships between Storm, Serket, Kate, and Frank, all well crafted and portrayed quite realistically.
The cliffhanger ending totally left me eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series. Dragon Storm: Abracadabra is a definate must-read in my opinion and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to fans of fantasy-thrillers and supernatural-suspense. It's a well-rounded book that combines action, character development, and a richly woven plot. ( )

In this universe created by DiPaolo, where supernatural, demons, myths, and legends entangle, the adventure begins as Alexander and his friends find themselves in another “battle against the evil” type of situation. What I liked about this book, besides the well-written and fast-paced story, is that, with each illustration added along the way, the author managed to create a more vivid and authentic type of world in this piece of work. This is the second book in the series and the second book I've read by DiPaolo. As with the first book, it's written well and very creative. It is significantly shorter than the first, though. The first book had a wealth of research and care put into the character's personalities, and this book is no different. I was thrilled to see some characters return, but I was even more excited to see where everyone ended up.

I don't know how DiPaolo managed it, but the stakes feel raised as Alexander stumbles into demonic sigils and pursues magic so old that it feels impossible to overcome due to the sheer scale and age of it. Overall, this is written well. I was excited to dive back into the series and see what DiPaolo came up with, and this did not disappoint. ( )
