This collection of I Spy books is great for children ages 6-9; each I Spy activity starts with introducing three to five objects in the first page of activity, then those items are integrated in a bigger, slightly more complicated context. Children will have fun reading the rhyming riddles out loud and searching for the items while building their language and observational skills. The pictures are vivid and items are placed such that the "I Spy" items sought are relatively easy to locate. The words are simple and sentences are short, making the text appropriate for beginning readers. ( )
