This story surrounds a family with 4 different sisters and their mother living in poverty. It is a story about the children growing up, finding love, and discovering who they are in the world. The message is one about love being key to life and empowerment, which are things important to teach middle schoolers at a young age. ( ) One of my favorite books. Such a "comfort" read when I need something simple, romantic, and inspiring. I believe I have taken a quality from each of the March sisters to bring into my own personality. Its fame is so well deserved, such a classic. The journeys that all the sisters go through (even beth's short-lived one) are kept so close to my heart. the struggles they face are all still relevant in 21st-century society. My favorite part of the book by far is when Beth and Joe go to the beach in hopes that Beth will get better. it's sorrowful and wistful and necessary. Beth's journey was complete. When I was younger I had a "young addition" version of the book where they never clarified what happened to beth, so when I read a full version copy I was broken apart. That's good character creation and writing. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
