Lyla Fox knows she has a reputation at the SNAP Agency for impulsivity, but when she receives a threatening letter from a man she helped put in prison, she can't stop herself from going all in to find out why he's coming after her. Unfortunately, she's going to need the help of the one person who questions her reckless choices more than anyone else. Explosives and weapons specialist Nicolás Garcia agrees to help Lyla in order to keep her safe, but her recklessness continues to be a major concern, especially when her investigation into a conspiracy puts a target on her back. Dealing with bombs is dangerous. Working with Lyla is proving to be just as treacherous--to both the mission and his heart. I apologize that it's taken so long to review the book but I had things come up that prevented a more timely review. I found the story started out slowly but it did pick up to the point I couldn't put it down. I do Recommend highly.

The third book in the SNAP Agency series reads well as a stand-alone, which is good, since I have not yet had the opportunity to read “Lights Out” (1) or “Fatal Code” (2).

A fast-paced novel that kept me reading well into the night. The characters were unique – Kekoa was a hoot, Elinor’s science-y humour was fun – and the story was absorbing.

The entire team is aware that there is chemistry between Lila and Nic, but Nic’s inability to trust Lila – and her apparent recklessness – impulsively taking greater risks than Nic thinks is necessary, cause them both to question their roles on the team and the possibility of romance between them. Can Lila learn to listen to her team when they advise caution? Can Nic learn to trust Lila’s instincts when it comes to necessary risks?

Lila has made the team her family – she seems to fit in with them better than with her wealthy family, whom she seems to disappoint at every turn. But she longs to fit with her family as well. Will she be able to find her role, her place with her parents and grandparents? Is there a reason she is so different? Can she blend her two worlds together and find peace?

Will they solve the conspiracy and close the case? Will they both remain on the team? Is there any hope for a happily-ever-after for this opposite attract couple? You’ll have to read for yourself to find out. In the meantime, I’m off to hunt down books one and two so I can spend more time with the colour SNAP Agency team.

Blind Trust is the third book in the SNAP Agency series and centers on Lyla Fox and Nicolas Garcia’s story. I have not read the first three books in the series, but enough background was included that it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.

Lyla Fox and Nicolas Garcia work for the SNAP Agency. Garcia was formerly in the army and has explosives training. When the book opens Lyla is working undercover to expose a criminal. She’s very good at what she does but she’s impetuous, and this infuriates Nicolas because he cares deeply for Lyla and can’t take it when she takes risks with her life. Her impulsive nature has him considering leaving SNAP to pursue a different assignment. But right now he has to help protect Lyla because there’s a target on her back. A prisoner she helped put behind bars wants her dead, but there’s much more to this case than meets the eye.

I enjoyed this Christian Romantic Suspense story. The main characters’ dynamic coupled with the antics and witty banter of a fun Hawaiian colleague named Kekoa—a sizable character both literally and figuratively, added humor and balance to an otherwise serious plot. The familial closeness of the rest of the team was also satisfying. The close calls and tension-filled moments, interesting characters, major twists and simmering love story made for a wonderful ride. Being in the Christian fiction genre, the clean language makes for a nice change from other suspense novels. ( )

The final book in the SNAP series sadly closes out the adventures of Lyla Fox and Nicolás Garcia, as well as the rest of the team at SNAP—Strategic Neutralization and Protection Agency. After reading the previous novels and really getting into the characters, we finally come to the conclusion, and it is a winner all the way to the end. Intrigue, great characters, and an intriguing plot...you have it all in this novel. Deftly written by Natalie Walters, who once again knocks it out of the park. If you want a great read, start at the beginning of the series and read them all. ( )

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
I am so glad we get to hear Lyla and Nicolás story and let me tell you, Ms. Walters did not disappoint with this story. I think this one is even better than the first two books. In Blind Trust, Lyla gets a threatening letter from a man she helped put in jail, and she ends up getting Explosives and weapons specialist, Nicolás Garcia, to help keep her stay safe. This is one book you don't want to miss. It is chunked full of of a riveting story that will stay with you for a long time.

I am so glad I read books one and two in this series. Though the author does a fabulous job keeping everyone knowledgeable about all og the characters, it was still difficult for me to keep up with with all of the characters and everything that's going on. Speaking of the characters, they had it going on. This book as well as the whole series has characters that draw you into the story very quickly and keep you there through all of the face paced action. I found myself on the edge of my recliner as came to the finish line. I love the way Walters weaves everything together in the end and comes up with an ending that will satisfy your heart. This one is getting Five Stars from me.

A special thanks to the author/publisher and LibraryThing for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone. I am disclosing this with my review in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission’s 16 CFR, Part 255. ( )
