Ethan: I quite literally knew I wanted to marry you since we met but you were too dense to understand. Revenna: You could have asked me out? Ethan: you would have claimed its unprofessional. Revenna: because it is! Ethan: Do you hear yourself? Do you hear what I've had to work with? Not direct quotes, but that's the gist of their relationship and wow. I felt so bad for Ethan, the dude is all but ready to marry Revenna from the first moment they meet and she's "no no no I will find you the perfect match". Like their communication is off the charts good...except for that. He kept waiting for her to notice his super not subtle hints and she kept complaining he was being too picky. Anyhow another fun Harmony romp - I do kind of miss the days when the books only SORT OF tied into Castle's other series, but whatever its not like I won't enjoy reading her whole backlist eventually. Always great to go back to Harmony! Jayne added more romance into this one than her recent books which made it a great ride. Dust bunnies are always fun and nice to see a lot of Gabriel Jones in this one. Sweetwater/Jones teamups are the best. Nice to see a return to the matchmaking lineage too. So who's next? Jeff Sweetwater or Sybil Banks? Or both? I love dust bunnies and I’m always up for another grand adventure to the futuristic world of Harmony. This go round we have a fire witch matchmaker and a ‘just an engineer’ maybe son from the rumored mob family the Sweetwater’s facing down a bad guy or two. The continuing storyline woven amongst the books makes it a must read series and not a one and done. Can’t wait for the next installment! Another good read from the Harmony universe. If you have read others in the series, you have a pretty good idea of what to expect. Although enjoyable, it is not the best of the series. There were one or two dangling threads with Collins and Jeff -- seemed that the story should be including them more but perhaps that is to come. I was disappointed that the heroine was once again a marriage consultant. Seems that is a profession which has been done to death. Also, I did not appreciate the profanity that appeared in this book for the first time in the series. It was mild, perhaps, but was completely unnecessary and definitely did not improve my enjoyment of the book. I enjoyed the dust bunny gatherings with snacks and a show. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML:Welcome to the world of Harmony, whereâ??despite its name, things are anything butâ??danger lurks just beneath the surface in this new novel by New York Times bestselling author, Jayne Castle. If thereâ??s something Ravenna Chastain knows, itâ??s when to end things. And after she almost winds up the victim of a cult that believes sheâ??s a witch, itâ??s easy to walk away from her dead-end career, ready for a new start. But where to find a job that would allow her to use her very specialized skill set? The answer is clear: she becomes a matchmaker. But even a successful matchmaker canâ??t find someone for everyone, and Ravenna considers Ethan Sweetwater her first professional failure. After nine failed dates, Ravenna knows itâ??s time to cut Ethan loose. But Ethan refuses to be fired as a clientâ??he needs one final date to a business function. Since Ravenna needs a date herself to a family event, they agree to a deal: she will be his (business) date if he will be her (fake) date to her grandparentsâ?? anniversary celebration. What Ethan fails to mention is that attending the business function is a cover for some industrial espionage that heâ??s doing as a favor to the new Illusion Town Guild boss. Ravenna is happy to help, but their relationship gets even more complicated when things heat upâ??the chemistry between them is explosive, as explosive as the danger thatâ??s stalking Ravenna. Lucky for her, Ethan isnâ??t just an engineerâ??heâ??s also a Sweetwater, and Swe Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

Now a matchmaker in Illusion Town, she only has to deal with finding matches for covenant marriages for her clients. But Ethan Sweetwater isn't the sort of client the business is looking for. He is a member of one of the premier families on Harmony with talents that reach back to the old world of Earth, but his strong talents and inclination to secrecy makes it hard to find a perfect match for him.
Ravenna wants to fire him, but Ethan demands his final contracted date, and he wants it to be with her. This has some positives for Ravenna too since she needs to find a date to her grandparents' anniversary party. Agreeing to "fake" date him to give him some pointers on his dating techniques should be a simple exercise. However, his ulterior motives put both of them in the crosshairs of a man who wants Sweetwater dead before he can expose his connection with Vortex.
And Ravenna has an enemy of her own who wants her dead. Both Ethan and Ravenna find themselves beset by a variety of enemies. But Ethan's biggest problem is convincing Ravenna that their "fake" dates should lead to a real covenant marriage.
Narrated by Barbara Rosenblat, the story moves along at a quick pace. The banter between the two takes on a new life when the story is heard rather than read. And there is a lot of banter...
