In our galaxy's distant future, humans are one of three known intelligent races. lithicbee: Both are science-fiction epics heavy on the space opera, with an overwhelming alien threat and a large cast of characters and political factions.
Je recherchais un space opera, c'est ce que j'ai trouvé. Tous les ingrédients se retouvent dans ce livre : combats de flottes spatiales, races d'extra-terrestres étranges, complots et machinations en tout genre, ... Le livre commence doucement et souffre d'un nombre de personnages différents très élevé. Cela prend de nombreux chapitres pour les introduire et le lecteur est un peu perdu. J'étais déçu et prêt à abandonner quand l'action a enfin décollé vers la fin du 2ème tiers du livre, quand les extra-terrestres du fameux empire caché sont apparus. Et évidemment, cela finit sur une révélation à suspense... ( )
