Bearded, bad-boy barber Knox prefers to live his life the way he takes his coffee: Alone. Unless you count his basset hound, Waylon. Knox doesn't tolerate drama, even when it comes in the form of a stranded runaway bride. Naomi wasn't just running away from her wedding. She was riding to the rescue of her estranged twin to Knockemout, Virginia, a rough-around-the-edges town where disputes are settled the old-fashioned way ... with fists and beer. Usually in that order. Too bad for Naomi her evil twin hasn't changed at all. After helping herself to Naomi's car and cash, Tina leaves her with something unexpected. The niece Naomi didn't know she had. Now she's stuck in town with no car, no job, no plan, and no home with an 11-year-old going on thirty to take care of. There's a reason Knox doesn't do complications or high-maintenance women, especially not the romantic ones. But since Naomi's life imploded right in front of him, the least he can do is help her out of her jam. And just as soon as she stops getting into new trouble he can leave her alone and get back to his peaceful, solitary life. At least, that's the plan until the trouble turns to real danger.… (plus d'informations)

• Good, easy, entertaining read.

• The characters are well developed, relatable, and likable.

• I’m not typically a “romance” reader but Witten humor spread throughout make this not your typical romance book.

• I would recommend this to anyone for easy reading. ( )

Love love love

At 1st it started out slow but absolutely love the banter between Naomi and Knox it's a must read it's got feel good it's got sadness it's got action it's got all kinds of emotions in it I don't wanna give too much away but it was a really good book I gave it 5 stars ( )

Great book

This was the first Lucy Score book I've read and I ended up liking it a lot. She has a laid back style of writing that flows easily. The story itself is fast paced and the characters are likeable. I would recommend this to people 18 with a warning of some hot spice scenes ( )

Really like Knox, but Naomi seems a little annoying to me. The way she tries to parent Waylay with a swear jar and eating vegetables is a little too much. ( )

Holy balls!! God When I say I laughed and I cried with this book!!!! Literally kept me hooked onto the book the whole time! I finished it in one sitting like it's deadass 2 in the morning as I'm writing this since I just finished the story! No matter how much Knox denied wanting to help Naomi and omg him following her along to the mall and buying her a phone! My favorite scene out of the whole book would have to be with Knox punched Naomi's ex and then dragged her to his office to talk! Literally spoke volumes to how much he cared and to see him all panicked when her and Waylay went missing. ( )

I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked into Cafe Rev, but it sure as hell wasn't a picture of myself behind the register under the cheery headline "do not serve." A yellow frowny face magnet held the photo in place.
