Discusses the Holocaust poetry of Frydman (1910-1972), who was born to a hasidic family, grew up in Czernowitz, and lived for some time in Warsaw, where he became a well-known poet. In 1932 he returned to Czernowitz and married. In 1941 he, his wife, and their mothers were deported to Transnistria, where they entered the Bershad ghetto; the two mothers perished there. Frydman and his wife lived in Bucharest after the war; in 1947 they emigrated, finally reaching Israel in 1949. His Holocaust works were written in Yiddish and reflect his experiences in Transnistria. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
