Fiction. Romance. HTML:

Sheriff Tucker Spencer has seen some action...but finding an almost-naked woman asleep in his bed leaves him speechless. Especially because this same woman, Mary Elizabeth, broke Tucker's heart six years ago by marrying a charismatic Virginia politician, a man who's just been found shot dead.

Mary Elizabeth needs Tucker's help. Needs him, period. But along with her return comes all the town gossip about their reunion romance. Even his father, who can't manage his own love life, is determined to "impart his wisdom" regarding theirs.

Tucker's not listening to any of it. He just needs to clear Mary Elizabeth's name. But in the end, he'll confront a mystery even more confusing than murder: how the heart makes room for forgiveness and a new start.

This is a light & entertaining read..... I understand this is the last of a trilogy, but for me it stood alone just fine.

There is romance, murder, mystery & politics of a small town.

However....the dialog was highly improbable... No man I have Ever met in my 40 years of having interest in boys/men has Ever spoken in the ways the men in this novel speak....Especially Not to Women!

Another thing...was the guilty party was never once brought up in the book until the last chapter.....so it's all like a Red Herring and comes out of nowhere!

As "Romances" go this was enjoyable..... ( )

rabck from dvg; last in the series. Will stand alone, but reading the first two help provide some backstory. Now it's Tucker's turn for love. He walks in to his ex-girlfriend sleeping in his bed. She's in big trouble - her politician husband was murdered, but she didn't do it. Now to track down who really did kill the hubby, and stirring up the widow's feelings for him. ( )

From BackCover:
Trinity Harbor's sheriff Tucker Spencer has seen some action...but finding an almost-naked woman asleep in his bed leaves him speechless. Especially because this same woman — Mary Elizabeth Chandler — broke Tucker's heart six years ago by marrying a charismatic Virginia politician.

Now her philandering husband has been shot dead and Mary Elizabeth needs Tucker's help. She needs Tucker...period. But can he forgive her — and will he want a future with her once murder and mayhem are behind them?

Seems everyone in town has an opinion about their top cop's reunion romance, including Tucker's father, King Spencer, who's determined to manage his son's love life — even as he mismanages his own. But Tucker's not listening. He needs to clear Mary Elizabeth's name...and maybe even save her life.

Then he'll confront an even more troubling mystery...love! ( )
