They are 2 lonely young people who become firm friends and only friends. Edward is Thomas' brother and he is amazing. He is totally enchanted with Lenny when he meets her. This book is so well written. It is funny but also so sad at times, it packs a real emotional punch. Thomas and Lenora(Lenny) meet, she is a rule keeper, he is a rule breaker, Edward, writes to Thomas, his brother and even though Edward has never met Lenora, Thomas shares his brothers letters with her and thus shares his adventures, which for different reasons, both Thomas and Lenora due to limitations feel they will never have. Thomas also mentions Lenora to Edward in his letters, so they form a picture of each other even though at this point they haven't met. Edward has been away travelling and through his letters there is a vague mention that he is involved with other women (its more of an impression you get than any details), the heroine is a virgin. There are no intimate details of anyone other than the Hero and heroine. When Edward and Lenora meet he is totally enchanted with her and it's so sweet. No cheating. Love it's so British. HEA. Epilogue. As Edward and Lenora found themselves it was obvious that they were stealing my heart. She's the woman who was groomed to be Queen. He's the man determined to make a difference. Edward never wanted the life that Lenora is meant to have, but when the heart calls, his path is set. Chase goes deep into a dynasty and with humor and romance humanizes a larger than life kind of love. Royally Yours is a NEED TO READ. Royally Yours by Emma Chase (Audiobook) Narrated by: Andi Ardnt & Shane East Series: Royally book 4 5 Stars - This was a very heartwarming story. Lenora and Edward had wonderful chemistry, great banter and endearing moments. I laughed, and at times I felt sad, but throughout I felt the love these two shared. This was a great beginning story for the Monarchy. Also as a bonus (which I didn't know until it came on) the novella Royally Raised was added to the audiobook! Such a nice surprise as I hadn't read that yet. Both narrators did a fantastic job. They really made the characters come to life for me in this story. ~Paragraphs and Petticoats~ aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen - the first Queen of Wessco. When she's crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She's charming, clever, confident and cunning. What she isn't is married. It's her advising council's first priority. It's what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want. Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man - particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty. Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke walked away from his title and country. Now he's an adventurer - climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants - until family devotion brings him back home. And a sacred promise keeps him there. To Edward, the haughty, guarded little queen is intriguing, infuriating - and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad - or become his greatest adventure. Withing the cold, stone walls of the royal palace - mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarch forever.
