Twisted Light is the story of Kaspar O'Malley, a naïve, malformed, asexual young man who has been equally damaged by a bomb and his upbringing in an orphanage. He is aware that he can't feel emotions as 'normal' folk do but is determined to fit in. His wild talents for Remote Viewing bring him to the attention of the Security Services, who use him for various black projects within the little known (but historically real) department known as Defence Intelligence 15, As a young, disabled man in the 1960s he manages to create something of legend for himself. He becomes linked with the Gang Wars of London, the Cambridge spy ring, the first gig of the Rollin' Stones and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He also has his own secret life within the failed Boudiccan Revolt of the Year 60, for which he feels entirely responsible.Kaspar wrestles with the notions of good and bad and the bewilderments of love. Although he can see through Time and influence its flow, he constantly searches for an explanation as to his own origins. Bizarrely, he also teaches us how to invite his friend Boudicca into our own lives by means of a simple chant.Toward the end, after a lifetime of wrestling with inner demons, he returns to the remote house in Wiltshire where he faces his final battle...It is not a love story, but a story of love.… (plus d'informations)
