Okay I have quite the collections of car books from Car Tech and each book is special to me not only for myself but for my husband. The photographs is top notch and detailed history and all the background info. you need. Parts, VIN, components, specifications and more. The beautiful cars showcased here is so exquisite. Thank you! ( )Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. An amazing amount of technical detail. I'm not one who would ever be able to gather this much information on a single subject, but author Ola Nilsson has done an amazing job. Great layout, superb photographs & graphics. Everything about this book is sure to please a 'Cuda lover! Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Having owned one of these icons of the muscle car era, I was enthralled with the read. A Mopar fan from my first car (a 1958 Plymouth Fury) to my Dodge Ram truck, almost 60 years later, I have been the gamut with these American made brutes. I can proudly say that that 'Cuda is still rumbling into car shows here. But about the book, the detail to its history, from conception to one's own driveway was a trip down memory drag strip lane. The specs notated were fun to reminisce and to see actual reproductions of purchase orders and dealer brochures was icing on the hood. Full color photos enhanced the experience and with all the production numbers and such, this is essential to anyone planing a restoration job on one. In detail was an apt description for this book, as I was left with nothing to wonder about, other than why I sold mine. This is a great series for a true car enthusiast and something that should be in every restoration shop's shelf. I truly look forward to reading more about the other car-loves on my life. If you have a question about the 71 'Cuda, the answer is almost certainly in this book. Then there are the pictures. This book has many beautiful photos of this rare car in a variety of the original colors and paint schemes. Just open the book and be reminded of what a gorgeous car this was. Cette critique a été écrite dans le cadre des Critiques en avant-première de LibraryThing. Great detailed book. I was really only expecting a picture book with some specs and shiny museum photos, but this is a great study book. It has more information than I ever expected. I never knew much about the 71' Cuda, but with this book, I can actually know what i'm talking about at car shows. Very well put together and researched. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

" Learn what makes the 1971 Plymouth ,ÄôCuda so desirable! Provides an introduction and historical overview, an explanation of the design and concepts involved in creating the car, a look at marketing and promotion, an in-depth study of all hardware and available options, as well as an examination of where the car is on the market today. Includes are paint and option codes, VIN and build tag decoders, as well as sales numbers, and much more. By 1971, the handsome Barracuda had established itself as one of the best-performing cars in the marketplace. Ordering the ,ÄôCuda, owners with such stout engine packages could lay waste to Mustang and Camaro owners. Sales numbers never did match that of its cross-town rivals, but in the end, the 1971 ,ÄôCuda won the war. No other mass-production Pony Car can consistently claim asking prices of $2,000,000 for its top model (in today's prices). When the Barracuda arrived in the Plymouth lineup in mid-1964, it was given a daunting task: compete against the new Ford Mustang. Out the gate, it was outsold by a 6 to 1 margin. Barracuda could always compete with Mustang in the performance category, but aesthetically it just wasn't accepted like its Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro counterparts. That was until 1970, when a complete redesign in the E-Body platform turned the tide. In terms of performance, the 1970-1974 Barracudas and Challengers were every bit the measure of the Ford and GM offerings." Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
