freaking loved this book! Read it straight through! I've always been a fan of Stylo's writing since I read The Kane Trilogy lall 4 books in 3 days.

I really connected with Katya, and could relate to what she was going thru. Always the good girl, a bit buttoned up and tightly wound, always doing the right thing, not the fun thing. Then she decides to cut loose and let the inner party girl out to play, and man does she have fun!!

I feel so conflicted about Liam and Wulf. I adored Liam and his easygoing, sweet, friendly way. Wulf was always a bit too abrupt and cold, too entitled, I didn't think he treated Katya good enough. Once you read the book, you understand his behavior better though. This is one messed up love triangle, and I feel like my heart's just been ripped out and stomped on! I actually teared up at the end, and I don't cry easy. Now I'm just counting the days for the next book to release, so I can see what happens!!

This is definitely a book worth every penny, you need to buy this and read it. I can almost guarantee you'll love it, I know I did!!

Well, fam, this is where I tap out: 22%.
1) The character was taught to be a good girl, which means not embracing your sexuality.
insert snore here
2) The characters run the smut gamut in the first 2 chapters
3) Her room mate is annoying characterization of the roommate that says "whohoo" and calls you a slut
4) Long descriptions of her nun - like J-Crew and DKNY clothing. Or as they are known here in the midwest, sweaters. Shirts. All beige. All the time.
5.) Dialogue straight from a high-schoolers mouth to your page. "I do not, I just don't want to dress like a slut, I like these clothes." I don't have a great idea of the ages of these characters, but my thought is "Not old enough."
"But I was just pretending."
"Oh okay, so you were just pretending to get fucked in the ass."
6.) Internal monologue/conflict is awful, and becomes a thing due to a long lost douchebag from high school showing some interest in the heroine. He's cold and more buttoned up and he makes her heart go pitter patter too. But he's barely kissed her, let alone fucked her in the ass, so you know..whatever will she ever ever decide.

I don't think I need more reasons.

Katya has always been the good girl. At 23, she's a sought after baker who dresses in pastels and flowy clothing, her sexuality something she's never addressed. After a lot of prodding, and some tweaking on her roommate's part, she finds herself on a dating side with a very misleading bio. Her neighbor, the handsome Liam, seeks a challenge with her when he discovers she's really a prim and proper girl who couldn't possibly be up for kinky sex...until she goes for the win. With one adventurous night behind her, Katya never expected to find herself face to face with her devilishly handsome, childhood neighbor Wulf. What was once a boring life is now filled with two handsome men who want her every fantasy to come true. Katya has no clue how to juggle the opposite men and their smutty ways.

Real life reaction when I finished Neighbors: WHAT IN THE WORLD DID I JUST READ AND WHEN CAN I HAVE THE NEXT BOOK?!

"She might have been vanilla a good deal of the time, but there were other times when she wanted to be rainbow sherbet. With sprinkles on top, dammit."

Neighbors is a twisted little story; what seems innocent on the outside is sinfully sexy on the inside and just a bit messed up too. It's not the kind of book you take at face value, because what starts as a 23 year old's endeavor to explore her sexuality soon becomes a web of truths and lies. Katya is the sort of character I struggle with, her personality is all over the place and her innocent ways fall to the wayside so easily. I generally liked her approach to life, to the two men who fit into her world like puzzle pieces, but I couldn't get behind how quickly she developed into this new version of herself. Then there's Liam and Wulf, two opposites who find themselves joining Katya's journey of self exploration. I adored Liam, I want Liam for myself, but Wulfric sort of makes me gag...but in the way where I want to keep reading about him, because I can't get enough. Does that make sense? He's alpha to the core; a quiet, fierce, demanding, brooding type that Katya can't get enough of. While Liam's joining Katya for some serious bonding over drinks, Wulf brings out the young girl inside of Katya who once had a crush on him. The love triangle between these three is different though, as both men are in on Katya's time spent with the other. Katya's interactions with the men are intense, at times it felt like fleeting flings and at other times a monumental affair that would leave her changed.

”Alright, angel cake. Let’s see how far you’ll take this cute little act.”

Then there's the twists, because there's always a twist when it comes to a Stylo Fantome novel. I had a sneaking suspicion about this one, the hints are all there, but like it was for Katya, it's a shock when the reader is let in on the secrets. As the characters feelings grow beyond hooking up the story starts to unravel...literally. I loved how easy it was to get into this story, Stylo always writes dark characters that you can't help but want to love, that you want to stick with to the very end and Neighbors was no different. While the story line is one I can't relate to, I could see how Katya got herself into the mess and let me tell you...I can't see how she's going to get out of it. Neighbors is emotional, a little bit sweet and a little bit sour...and a whole lot sexy. I'm serious, this is the kind of book you read by yourself, because it's hot hot hot. I was hooked from page one, unable to put it down, because I wanted to know what happened next with the two handsome men. Then there's the ending, it will leave you shocked, possibly yelling (like me), maybe angry, but absolutely desperate for more.

"Looks like little Katya Tocci finally grew up."

I want to know if you're #TeamWulf or #TeamLiam if you read it! I think I'm #teamLiam...think being the key word. ( )

Mind blown. This book deserves more than five stars

Where oh where do I begin? Let me first start with my feelings about this author. I have a degree in Literature because I love the power of the written word. Therefore, when I discovered Stylo Fantôme I became obsessed(I promise not in a creepy stalker way!) She has a cadence and style that invokes feelings, makes you smile, laugh out loud, or yes even makes you cry over characters that seem real. She inspires me to write, to study and deconstruct her work in order to learn why she makes the stylistic choices she does. She is my interpretation of what the mellifluous sublime is. She is truly one of the best.

From the very first word of hers that I read in the Kane trilogy to now- I have been hooked. I knew I would not be disappointed. Sweet Katya trying to break out of a shell from being a good girl to one having to decide between Liam and Wulfric. Dear dear Liam, the handsome charmer lover and who is what every girl should want. Hell I even did at times. Then Wulfric! Controlling asshat but with moments of vulnerability that it saved me during those times that I wanted to reach through my kindle and smack him. I remembered how Ms. Fantôme works and knew there was another Jameson in the making. Jameson Kane is still my number one book boyfriend but Wulfric might be edging him out, but then so might Liam. Oh what a tangled web you weave Stylo.

We don't know who wins or if either of them do win Katya's heart, since the book will be continued after a pretty mind blowing secret is revealed ( like seriously where did that twist come from?!? TOOK ME TEN MINUTES AND A GLASS OF WINE TO COME BACK TO THE BOOK). What we do know is that we will not be disappointed because we will get the answers and the ending we deserve as well as more of the best and hottest sex scenes ever written.

Do yourself a favor, buy this book. Savor it. Have a book hangover with me (it is 4 am and I have to be up in a few hours) but I promise you it will be worth it. Then join me in stalking this amazing author. I really do need to find out how to have first dibs on her work so I can beat the release date - a date that I might have in my phone calendar so I don't make other plans.

Bravo again on a suburb book. I am eagerly awaiting another book hangover when the next part is released. Please be good to my heart and make it soon! ( )
