First in a trilogy that crosses the boundaries of erotic fiction-from the bestselling author of Megan's Mark. Too weak to resist young Kelly Benton's attempts at seduction, Rowdy Mackay left home eight years ago. Duty as a U.S. Marine put a safe distance between temptation and the nubile Kentucky vixen. Now he's back home and ready to engage in the kind of erotic games that have earned him and his two cousins a Nauti-boy reputation in three counties. Once it was Kelly's dream too-to feel the heat of the boy she desired. But an attack from a stalker still on the prowl has left Kelly terrified of a man's touch. Now as fear and desire converge, Rowdy fights to save her from the deadly threats of a stranger, to rid her of her demons, and to satisfy a hunger more powerful than either can imagine.… (plus d'informations)

so good! couldn't get enough of Rowdy. ( )

I read this series when it first came out and I loved it. I still love Rowdy and Kelly. The Nauti Boys are related to the August Brothers. The three men are cousins and they have gotten as close as brothers. They have also been inseparable most of the lives. They each joined the military and each returned to the town that they grew up in. Rowdy is the last to return. He is ready to settle down with Kelly. The three men have been looking forward to sharing Kelly since they were old enough to know what to do with a woman. Dawg and Natches know that Rowdy is the one that will claim Kelly. During Rowdy’s final tour Kelly is assaulted and almost raped. With Rowdy home the three started the search for the man that harmed Kelly. What follows is a game of cat and mouse with an insane psychopath that thinks that Kelly belongs to him and that she is his good girl.

Douglas “Rowdy” Mackay is all alpha male. He is dominant and arrogant and very charming when he wants to be. He has waited for Kelly to grow up so he can stake his claim. Rowdy is also very protective and it turns out very possessive of the woman that he has watched grow up into a lovely and spirited woman. I very much enjoyed watching the interaction with these two as they learn about each other. There are hints of secrets that the Mackays are hiding but no real details. Rowdy does learn some things about his father that he had not known earlier. It was very rewarding to see Rowdy come to realize that what he felt for Kelly was much more complicated than he ever thought it would be.

Kelly Benton is like so many other small town girls. Her family was poor. Her mother was a teacher. Eventually Rowdy’s man married Kelly’s mother. Rowdy defended her when the bullies picked on her and if Rowdy wasn't around Dawg and Natches took care of the problem. She has loved Rowdy for most of her life and no other man has ever taken his place. When she is assaulted and almost raped she loses a little of her confidence. I don’t blame for this I am not sure any of us when not hide when the perpetrator is still out there waiting for another chance to finish the job. Rowdy does a wonderful job of being patient and understanding with Kelly. He also doesn't let her hide. There are a few times that she is a little too strong willed and stubborn but it is never to the point that she becomes unlikable.

This is the first book in the series and one of the first that Ms. Leigh published with a New York City publisher. That being said, don’t expect that there is going to be as much sex or explicit language as there was in her earlier Ellora's Cave works. Ms. Leigh is definitely finding her way with this book. The story isn't any worse and it is very engrossing as some reviews have stated. The mystery is intriguing and I had to find out who the perp was. ( )

Lusty! It's not the best Lora Leigh book I've read but I enjoyed it and am really looking forward to exploring the rest of the series. ( )

I seem to be a masochist when it comes to books because I cannot resist the call of the full-blown-rant-inducing novels, no matter how often I say "well, I'm not going to read that". I'm not sure what it is but I can't help myself and, sure enough, this book was truly horrendous in every way.

I really enjoyed [b:Wild Card|2721318|Wild Card (Elite Ops, #1)|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1219534638s/2721318.jpg|2746915] by [a:Lora Leigh|2614|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1211464290p2/2614.jpg], so much so that I immediately sought out her other books. I have no idea whether her Breed and Elite Ops series are as good as the first novel I tried but I doubt they can possibly be as bad as the second (yeah and I probably shouldn't say that). The difference between [b:Wild Card|2721318|Wild Card (Elite Ops, #1)|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1219534638s/2721318.jpg|2746915] and [b:Nauti Boy|204103|Nauti Boy (Nauti, #1)|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1266164809s/204103.jpg|197496] is like the difference between sex and rape. And no, not the games couples play where they chase each other around screaming "no, stop that!" This book was so so disgusting. Why would you centre erotica around a rape story? Why would you centre a story that is meant to be about celebrating sex and sexuality around a plot that is about sex crimes?

Rape is not a joke. Rape is not sexy. And rape victims most definitely do not recover by having the trauma screwed out of them. I resent the message. No, wait, that doesn't even begin to express what I'm feeling:

I RESENT THE FUCKING MESSAGE!!!

Does [a:Lora Leigh|2614|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1211464290p2/2614.jpg] genuinely think that people who are raped just need a good screwing to get it out of there system? This book isn't bad, it's warped. Once I realised that the author was actually trying to sell sex to me as a way of alleviating the trauma after a sex attack (anal, by the way, because that's the only way [a:Lora Leigh|2614|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1211464290p2/2614.jpg] does it), I was completely switched off from the erotic aspect. I couldn't even enjoy the sex scenes because I was so grossed out.

Also, what I liked about the dirty talk in [b:Wild Card|2721318|Wild Card (Elite Ops, #1)|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1219534638s/2721318.jpg|2746915] made me nauseous in this. The author is known for her particular fondness for graphic and nasty dirty mumblings during the sex but her constant need to push the boundaries makes for some really awful lines. I like dirty talk, it's sexy most of the time... and yet, [a:Lora Leigh|2614|Lora Leigh|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1211464290p2/2614.jpg] takes it too far in this novel. I don't think that many people actually say this to one another and if a guy said some of this crap to me I'd laugh.

Apparently, "I want to do you in the ass" in Lora speak is "I want you to part those sweet cheeks so I can see your ass eating my cock" *gags*

And why couldn't the guys have been called something like John or David? Instead of Rowdy, Dawg and Natches... Rowdy. Dawg. Natches. Are you kidding me here, Lora? What is this mess you have written? I can't even properly put into words just how damn offensive this trash is.

Oh, and then there's the insult to the injury, isn't there? Of course there is. Yeah, not only do rape victims just need a good shag... wait for this... there are two types of girls - the good and the bad - the former are the virgins and the kind that are worth marrying some day, the latter are more promiscuous and are only good to be treated as whores without any kind of feelings whatsoever... they can't possibly ever get married or have any relationship extending beyond a gang bang with the 'Nauti boy' members. So if you're a woman who's ever had sex, be prepared to sacrfice any chance of a healthy relationship... but, lucky you, you do get to be shared by three 'Nauti boys' called Rowdy, Dawg and Natches!

READ ONLY IF YOU HAVE AN EXTREMELY STRONG STOMACH.
