Wanted to like it better than I did. It was well written and fairly well plotted but for me it lacked the sparkle and zing that I've come to expect from KS. The dialog wasn't that great, the meet cute was really just embarrassing, the quoted emails were pretty boring. I didn't really buy into the relationship between the two main characters. They just seemed to lack chemistry. I guess I just didn't enjoy the journey as much as usual. I really kind of felt that the hero was not well developed. And his ex girlfriend was written as so appalling that you had to wonder about his judgment for staying with her so long. Plus there wasn't much description. I don't like a lot but there should be some.

I was really disappointed that Nell and Pat got back together in this book. I was hoping to read about them getting back together in their own book. ( )

First, I read this in pretty much one sitting. The story held my attention and carried characters over from Dirty in a way that made them feel like the same people. I enjoyed the relationship and character development throughout the storyline. ( )

This book is a solid 3.5 for me. I loved Kylie Scott's Stage Dive series and while I like the Dive Bar series the characters just do not engage me as much. I find myself really enjoying the beginning of the book and the skimming the last quarter of it because I lose interest.

Online dating strikes again!

He (Joe Collins) uses his pretty boy brothers online profile to get to know Alex, a stay at home web/marketing designer. Alex thinks it's love so she flies from Seattle to Coeur d'Alene to surprise "Eric" at his birthday party. Once the gig is up and sparks start to fly things get a little confusing and funny.

Joe is just a big old bear of a guy who is there when anyone needs a friend, a hand or just some support. He works with his dad at Collins & Sons construction during the day and more often than not he's pulling a shift or two behind the bar at The Dive Bar...his brother is part owner. Alex sees him and immediately he's "not her type"....long hair, a beard and *gulp* tattoos....nope, absolutely not what she was looking for...or was she?

As luck would have it Alex can not escape back to her apartment where she is never going to leave...EVER! Seems running away from Joe in the middle of a storm gives her an awful case of the flu and guess who's there to play nurse. Hey, he's got to prove he's not a total scumbag.

Eric....GRRRR...in the first book I thought, okay this guy is a little hung up on himself. That was nothing, NOTHING compared to the ass he proves himself to be in this one. There are things said by him, I'm surprised someone hasn't planted him 6 ft. deep before now. When Nell is in an accident and loses the baby, think that might be the only time he shows he's more than what meets the eye.

It was a quick read. Plot moved along and the supporting characters did their job. Cute story so I might just continue on the see...will Pat and Nell make another go of it. Will Eric meet his match and finally have a *gulp* realtionship?!?!

Guess only the next book will give me the answers I seek. ( )
