Well written thriller about wealthy men who enjoy hunting, but their quarry are human beings! A bit gory. ( )

Awesome BookShot! This one had a ton of action and a great ending. This is about a guy who is investigating a missing friend of his who was homeless. It brings him to a group of people who are hunting humans for sport. Very interesting story and very binge-worthy. ( )

Homeless men are being lured into playing a high stakes game in the English countryside. When a friend of former Special Forces officer David Shelley is drawn into the deadly game, Shelley goes undercover in hopes of putting a stop to the brutal “game.” But things don’t always go exactly as planned . . . .

This quick-read BookShots story is action-packed, fast-moving, and immediately draws the reader into the telling of the tale although many may find the ending disappointing. Astute readers are likely to draw a comparison between this tale and Richard Connell’s Collier’s magazine short story, “The Most Dangerous Game.” ( )

Another BookShot title that offers readers a lot of thrills and excitement. Hunted is a fast paced novella with plenty of intrigue and with enough twist and turns to please action junkies. It is “over the top action” but the reader is in on it and can enjoy the ride. Is someone is luring homeless men from the streets to play a mysterious, brutal, hunting game in the English countryside that has fatal consequences?
From the start you are put into the action with former Special forces officer, David Shelley, learning about the death of a friend (and fellow military veteran) and being approached by an MI5 agent who suspects that there was something more sinister than the simple death of a homeless former soldier. Feeling guilty about the fate of his friend Shelley agrees to go undercover, leaving his valued family, his wife and their dog, to live on the streets as he investigates the validity of these suspicions. As he starts to gather information about a mysterious group of rich and well-informed men, he realises he is on his own and the odds are not stacked in his favour. The ending is unexpected but satisfying. ( )
