It's an emotional roller coaster from start to finish, and even though you know how it must end if you've read the other stories, it is still a shock when everything plays out. If you're going to read the series, start with this story first.
The rest of the series will make a bit more sense, and it'll set the tone for the rest of the series in a way the first book or the other prequel story could do. ( )
