This book is about a group of students who love math but more than math they love mystery. The friends go around their town solving mysteries becoming the math inspectors. ( )

The Math Inspectors follows four sixth graders as they use their detective and math skills to solve a mystery of a stolen piece of jewelry. The book includes math problems that students can solve and teachers can use to make activities. I believe this would be a good chapter book for teachers to have in a classroom because it involves math in a fun way, but not all students will be engaged in the mystery aspect of the book. ( )

The math inspectors know two things; that math is the greatest thing in the world and crime-solving is nothing but a word problem. The story follows Stanley and his friends as they search for the missing Claymore Diamond and but heads with the detective. They turn to math to help solve the case. This book sneaks math in the plot in a way that you don't even realize that you are doing math. ( )

I loved this cute book! Middle school children can benefit greatly from reading this book because it promotes friendship, problem-solving, teamwork, and adventure. The book can be utilized as an extra task for students who finish their work early and can be easily incorporated into the math class. ( )

This book involves solving mysteries involving math. I think any book like this is very entertaining to read and go through. this book is both clever, humorous and well written. It is targeted for middle school readers as well as late elementary. The plot will keep you guessing and entertained. The chapters are short and easy to read. ( )
