The February book for My First Books, my Kindergarten kids LOVED this one. I mean, the hilarity of bringing an alligator to school. A fun tie in is to use teacher's names, classmate's names, even the principal's name....it makes the book extremely relevant! ( )

This book brings a lighthearted plot about an alligator coming to school with a young girl, Magnolia. Magnolia tells the story of what would happen if she brought an alligator for show and tell including visits to the principal and the alligator eating everyone's school lunches. ( )

Reading the first book in the series after reading the second book earlier this month. This one is fine, but not as imaginative and cohesive as the one with the piano at the beach. I have the next two books in the series on hand from the library and am still looking forward to checking them out soon. ( )

The book "If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don't!" is a hilarious tale of a small child who brought her alligator to school to show and tell. The alligator get's into all sorts of mischievous trouble and causes the little girl to get into trouble as well. She ultimately regrets the decisions and is out to warn the world of the consequences of bringing a pet to school. I personally found the book to be hilarious, but laking a central theme or much needed lesson learned. ( )
