This book is one of those books that will leave you with your jaw hanging open for so many reasons... Emilia... broken, broke, lost. She travels across the country in search of her father whom she has never met. Her mother is gone... murdered. What she finds is so much more than a man who captivates and confuses her. She finds a whole can of worms she never could have imagined. Alex. He has taken over his father's illegal activities while he is in prison. He stumbles across Emilia. He feels the need to save and protect her. The things he gets in exchange for not only giving her a place to stay and a heart full of love are things beyond his wild imagination. The twists and turns. The secrets. The lies. They all leave a broken mess. I was riveted from the first page to the last... The last page... *insert a bunch of swear words* I love, LOVE a good cliffhanger! This is beyond a good cliffy. This sucker left my heart shredded and my jaw on the ground. I just sat there, slack-jawed and furious by the end of this book. I relished every last second of it! This book is a MUST READ. If you haven't picked it up yet, I seriously urge you to do so.
