This is a fantasy because the animals talk. This rabbit wants to see if spring has sprung. He goes looking for all of his friends, and when he finds them, he goes to investigate spring. He discovers the 5 senses, hearing, smell, sight, taste, and touch. This book teaches the children a lesson. It was very cute, and had amazing illustrations. I enjoyed reading and learning, and would definitely use this in my classroom. ( )

In this story, Hoppy, the main character who is a rabbit, goes through the five different senses- he smells the new grass, hears other bunnies, etc. He is trying to figure out if it is spring yet! The way that Hoppy figures out what season it is is by tasting, feeling, hearing, smelling, and looking at the grass, the aroma, the weather, etc. In the end, it is SPRING! Hoppy discovers this after going through all of his five senses!
